Chrysobrycon guahibo, a new species from the Orinoco River basin, with a distribution expansion of the genus (Teleostei: Characidae); Chrysobrycon guahibo, nueva especie, se describe para algunos pequeños drenajes que fluyen hacia la cuenca del río Guaviare, cuenca del río Orinoco, Colombia Vanegas Rios, James Anyelo; Bonilla Urbano, Alexander; Azpelicueta, Maria de Las M. Chrysobrycon guahibo, new species, is described from some small drainages flowing into the Guaviare River basin, Orinoco River basin, Colombia. This is the first record of the genus in the Orinoco basin. Chrysobrycon guahibo isdistinguished from all congeners by having fewer maxillary teeth 1-3 (vs. 6-15 in C. eliasi, 3-11 in C. hesperus, 3-12 in C. myersi, and 9-16 in C. yoliae), the nasal bone longer than antorbital (vs. nasal as long as or shorter thanantorbital), absence of bony lamella between the second and third basibranchials (vs. presence of this lamella), and bony hooks on the 3rd to 7th branched anal-fin rays with discontinuous arrangement, forming two separate series along each ray in mature males (vs. bony hooks with continuous arrangement, forming a single series along rays, except in C. hesperus). Chrysobrycon guahibo also differs from C. hesperus and C. myersi by the presence of a terminal lateral-line tube between caudal-fin rays 10 and 11 (vs. absence of this tube), absence of bony lamella between the first and second basibranchials (vs. presence of this lamella), and greater number of neural spines between the posteriormost supraneural and the anteriormost dorsal-fin pterygiophore (4-5 vs. 2-3). Este es el primer registro del género en la cuenca del Orinoco. Chrysobrycon guahibo se distingue de todos sus congéneres por poseer un menor número de dientes maxilares 1-3 (vs. 6-15 en C. eliasi, 3-11 en C. hesperus, 3-12 en C. myersi y 9-16 in C. yoliae), el nasal más largo que el antorbital (vs. nasal tan largo o más corto que el antorbital), la ausencia de lámina ósea entre el segundo y tercer basibranquiales (vs. presencia de esta lámina) y los ganchos óseos de los radios ramificados anales tercero a séptimo distribuidos de manera discontinua, formando dos series separadas a lo largo de cada radio en los machos adultos (vs. ganchos óseos distribuidos de manera continua, formando una sola serie a lo largo de los radios, excepto en C. hesperus). Chrysobrycon guahibo también difiere de C. hesperus and C. myersi por la presencia de un tubo terminal de la línea lateral entre los radios caudales 10 y 11 (vs. ausencia de este tubo), la ausencia de lámina ósea entre el primer y segundo basibranquiales (vs. presencia de esta lámina) y el mayor número de espinas neurales entre el supraneural mas posterior y el pterigióforo mas anterior de la aleta dorsal (4-5 vs. 2-3). Se presenta una clave de identificación actualizada para todas las especies de Chrysobrycon.

Another important result is that the presence of cesiumin CsxCoM catalyst does not change the catalytic activity.Moreover, when butane is th ereducing agent,cesium increases the tempera- ture window for NOx reduction.

Catalytic ceramic papers for diesel soot oxidation: A spray method for enhanced performance Tuler, Fernando Esteban; Gaigneaux, Eric M.; Miro, Eduardo Ernesto; Milt, Viviana Guadalupe; Debecker, Damien P. A spraymethod is proposed to improve the catalytic properties of ceramic papers to be used as catalytic lters for removing diesel soot particles. Small particles of Ce and Co oxides, acting as active centers for the combustion of the soot retained by the lter, are efciently and homogeneously deposited. On the contrary, the application of the conventional dripmethod results in bigger particlesmainly agglomerated at the crossings between the bers of the ceramic paper. As a result, catalytic papers prepared by the spraymethod exhibitmuch higher performance with soot combustion temperatures decreased by ~30 °C.

(nematoda, anisakidae) l3 en la cavidad corporal deatlantoraja platana (chondrichthyes, rajidae) Moya, Ana Carolina; Galíndez, Elena Juana; Di Giacomo, Edgardo Ernesto; Tanzola, Rubén Daniel En la presente nota se registra por primera vez el tercer estadio larval de Anisakis sp. infectando a Atlantoraja platana (Günther, 1880). Los hospederos fueron obtenidos en desembarques pesqueros de plantas de procesado de los puertos de San Antonio Oeste (40° 44' S 64° 57' O) y San Antonio Este (40° 49' S 64° 57' O), Provincia de Río Negro, Argentina. Las larvas fueron colectadas en la cavidad visceral de los peces, cerca del órgano epigonal, un tejido linfomieloide estrechamente asociado a las gónadas y exclusivo de los peces cartilaginosos. Hay evidencias documentadas que las altas concentraciones de urea en tejidos y fluídos corporales tornan inhabitable el medioambiente celómico para ser colonizado por helmintos. Los resultados expuestos en este trabajo constituyen el primer reporte de L de Anisakis sp. en la cavidad corporal 3 de un elasmobranquio, en particular A. platana, y demuestran la capacidad de este anisákido para sobrevivir en la masa visceral de estos hospederos.; This communication is the first record of the presence of a third stage larva of Anisakis sp. infecting Atlantoraja platana. The hosts were collected from fishery landings at processing plants of San Antonio Oeste (40° 44' S 64° 57' O) and San Antonio Este ports (40° 49' S 64° 57' O), Rio Negro province, Argentina. They were found in the visceral cavity near the epigonal organ, a lymphomyeloid tissue closely associated with gonads and only in cartilaginous fish. The high concentrations of urea in the body fluid and tissues of elasmobranch hosts made an inhospitable environment to the colonization of helminthes. The results produced by this work constitute the first report of L of Anisakis sp. in the body cavity of an elasmobranch, in particular 3 A. platana, and show the capability of this anisakid to survive in the visceral mass of these hosts.

The growth-employment-poverty nexus in Latin America in the 2000s: Venezuela Country Study Cruces, Guillermo Antonio; Fields, Gary; Jaume, David José; Viollaz, Mariana Venezuela experienced slow economic growth during the 2000s. The economy suffered a recession in the early years of the period and during the international crisis of 2008, but most labour market indicators improved and moved along with the business cycle over the period. The only indicators that did not improve were the composition of employment by occupational position and the percentage of workers registered with social security, which remained essentially unchanged. Most of the labour market indicators were affected negatively by the international crisis, and some of them had not recovered their pre-crisis levels by 2012.

The growth-employment-poverty nexus in Latin America in the 2000s: Uruguay Country Study Cruces, Guillermo Antonio; Fields, Gary; Jaume, David José; Viollaz, Mariana The Uruguayan story was one of declines in the early years of the 2000s in most indicators, followed by improvements in all of them. Economic growth was negative in the early years due to a severe economic crisis, positive and rapid thereafter except during the international crisis of 2008. Most labour indicators followed the same U-shaped pattern and were in 2012 at a better level than at the beginning of the decade, with the exceptions of labour earnings and some poverty indicators. The international crisis of 2008 slowed or stopped temporarily the improvements in some labour market indicators.

GDP per capita stagnated through 2004 and, for the most part, grew rapidly from 2005 through 2012. Comparing 2000 with 2012, many unfavourable developments were seen. Among them: an increase in unemployment; worsening in the employment composition by occupation and position; a substantial fall in labour earnings; and no progress in reducing poverty. The international crisis slowed economic growth but did not reverse it and had a negative effect on some labour indicators, which failed to return to pre-crisis levels by 2012.

From 2000 to 2012, Costa Rica grew at the Latin American average. Most labour market indicators improved during 2001–09 and 2010–12 (the series with comparable data). However, the unemployment rate increased in both periods, the mix of employment by occupations polarized from 2010 to 2012, and some poverty and inequality indicators increased from 2010 to 2012. The international crisis had substantial negative effects on the economic growth rate, unemployment, poverty, and inequality indicators, and not all of them recovered after the crisis.

Se organiza a partir de una cronología de sus debates iniciales y se pregunta sobre los modos en que se cristalizó en la actualidad, como si de sinónimos se tratara, la idea del arte feminista y arte de mujeres o de género en los diferentes acercamientos a las teorías y metodologías artístico-visuales actuales. En sus preguntas finales, busca indagar en los aportes que desde la geopolítica del sur pueden hacerse a estas intervenciones del archivo feminista artístico para recuperar la politicidad que toda intervención feminista en el arte tiene.; This paper explores the complex issue of feminist artistic interventions in contemporary art. It traces a genealogy of the debates and main questions around feminist artistic interventions and tries to tackle down the ways in which the notions of feminist art and women’s art have been crystallized as synonyms both by gender theories as well as by visual art’s methodological approaches. Finally, this work highlights the contributions Latin American feminist interventions have made to the art and political fields from a southern geo-political location.

Ni Dios ni Destino: El Teatro de la Experiência de Flávio de Carvalho Cabezas Baamonde, Laura María Soledad En la obra de teatro O Bailado do Deus Morto de 1931, el ingeniero y artista paulista Flávio de Carvalho propone, a través de su proyecto “Teatro de la Experiencia”, al primitivismo como una forma de vida heterodoxa que no necesita ni de Dios ni del Destino para habitar el mundo. En la línea inaugurada por Nietzsche y en consonancia con Artaud, Carvalho crea, en su texto dramático, la posibilidad de una vida que exceda los límites de los humano y problematice la configuración del cuerpo en la modernidad.; In the play O Bailado do Deus Morto of 1931, the engineer and artista paulist Flávio de Carvalho proposes, through its project "Theatre of Experience", primitivism as an unorthodox form of life that has no need of God or Doom to inhabit the world. In the line inaugurated by Nietzsche and consistent with Artaud, Carvalho created, in his dramatic text, the possibility of life beyond the limits of the human and problematice body configuration in modernity.

Tecnología lítica y contexto geoarqueológico de la ocupación temprana del Sitio 2 de la Localidad Arqueológica Amalia, provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina); Lithic technology and geoarchaeological context in the early occupation of the archaeological Site 2 of the Amalia locality, province of Buenos Aires (Argentina) Bonnat, Gustavo Federico; Mazzanti, Diana Leonis; Martinez, Gustavo Adolfo En el presente trabajo se exponen los resultados del análisis tecno-morfológico del conjunto artefactual lítico procedente de una pequeña cueva que compone un sector del Sitio 2 de la localidad arqueológica Amalia (LAA). El sitio se encuentra en un pequeño cerro ubicado en un ambiente de transición entre las sierras de Tandilia y Llanura Interserrana Bonaerense. El objetivo central es interpretar y discutir el contexto arqueológico correspondiente a la ocupación humana basal datada en la transición Pleistoceno-Holoceno. Este sitio fue utilizado de modo efímero y presenta materiales arqueológicos producidos sobre rocas transportadas desde afloramientos cercanos del sitio, de la región de Tandilia, como otras rocas cuya procedencia corresponde a lugares distantes que superan los 500 km. Se analiza también el contexto geoarqueológico donde se hallaron los artefactos líticos, el cual responde a un cambio en la sedimentación vinculado a oscilaciones en las condiciones paleoclimáticas propias del inicio de ciclos más húmedos.; In this paper, we present the results of techno-morphological analysis carried on lithic artifacts from the site 2 of Amalia archaeological locality (LAA). This site is nestled on a small hill located in a transitional environment between two geological provinces: the Tandilia range and the Pampas plains. Our main goal is interpreting and discussing the archaeological context of the oldest human occupation dated to the Pleistocene-Holocene transition. The place was used as an ephemeral camp and presents evidences of many archaeological artifacts produced on different rock types transported from different regions of the Tandilia hills, as well as other rocks from sources located at 500 km from the site. In regard to the geoarchaeological context, the analyses show a change in the sedimentation, which is related to the fluctuations of the climatic conditions and indicate wetter cycles in the beginning of the Holocene.

Tentativas del viajero contemporáneo: Oliverio Coelho y sus “Apuntes en viaje” Gomez, Facundo Enrique La serie de columnas que el escritor argentino Oliverio Coelho ha publicado en el diario Perfil conforma un corpus que puede ser incluido en la tradición literaria del relato de viaje. Desde esta perspectiva, es posible analizar las operaciones que Coelho realiza en torno a las distintas convenciones y tópicos del género, en función de construir una textualidad heterogénea, cruzada por el ensayo sociológico, el diario autobiográfico y la reflexión literaria. A lo largo de sus columnas, van siendo reformuladas las ciudades emblemáticas de los viajeros latinoamericanos y también los procedimientos usuales para representar esos y otros lugares, como la narración de anécdotas o la descripción exótica. Los textos de Coelho indagan de esta forma la problemática del relato de viaje en un mundo contemporáneo en el que las coordenadas geopolíticas y los linajes narrativos configuran un escritor viajero con particulares características y retóricas.; The series of columns published by Oliverio Coelho, the Argentine writer, in the newspaper Perfil constitute a corpus that could be included as a part of the tradition of travel literature. From this perspective, it is possible to analyze how Coelho rethinks different topics and conventions in order to build up a heterogeneous textuality, interrelated with other genres such as sociological essay, autobiographical diary and literary reflection. Throughout his work, the representation of emblematic cities for Latin American travelers are rephrased, as well as certain procedures to represent those and other places, such as anecdotal narration or exotic description. Coelho’s columns discuss the issue of travel literature in a contemporary world, where the transformation of geopolitical frontiers and narrative traditions implies a new configuration of the traveler writer, with particular features and rhetoric.

¿Dónde están los machos?: Sindicalización anarquista, masculina y femenina, en la industria del dulce (Buenos Aires, 1920-1929) Scheinkman, Ludmila Este trabajo da cuenta de las tensiones en la construcción de identidades militantes en clave de géneros, en la experiencia de sindicalización de los obreros y obreras del dulce porteños durante la década del veinte, analizando El Obrero en Dulce, periódico de la organización gremial anarquista Sociedad Obreros en Dulce Unidos. En una rama industrial que se estaba feminizando, en un contexto de crisis del anarquismo, los activistas varones construyeron una identidad militante en clave excluyentemente masculina. Creemos que este factor debe ser ponderado a la hora de evaluar las dificultades organizacionales del gremio, que no supo "ganar" a su causa a las mujeres, siendo, por el contrario, expulsivo para ellas.

Introduction: Searching for the Natural Origins of Content: Challenging Research Project or Benighted Quest? Hutto, Daniel D.; Satne, Glenda Lucila This paper introduces this special issue which is focused on its target paper - The Natural Origins of Content. The target paper has had a robust and considered set of fifteen replies; a literal A to Z of papers (from Abramova’s to Zawidzki’s). This extended introduction explains the background thinking and challenges that motivated the target article's proposed research programme. It also provides a sneak peak preview and navigational aid to the special issue’s contents. Brief highlights of each commentary are provided and they are grouped together under broad headings. We do not attempt to give detailed replies to these suggestions or answer the various critiques at this stage of the proceedings: that is for future work.

El tratamiento de la narración visualen la literatura de la teórica feminista y artista vietnamita Trinh T. Minha-ha sobre mundos nooccidentales, es parte de estos nuevos tiempos. En este ensayo deseo reflexionar sobre la vidacotidiana de Lola Kiepja, la última xo´on Selknam de Tierra del Fuego, para proponer unaestética descolonial. Me interesa revisar su relato utilizando las herramientas que provienen delfeminismo negro (tal el concepto de interseccionalidad) y del feminismo descolonial.

Key moments in the School of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires (1915-1986) García, Carla Guillermina; Schwartzman, Ana Este artículo recupera los recorridos cardinales de la historia del arte en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, considerando el período previo a la creación de la carrera específica en el año 1963 y las posteriores instancias de cambios y reajustes de contenidos en relación a contextos políticos concretos e influjos de figuras emergentes. Nuestra principal documentación la constituyen los programas de estudio, que permiten conocer los procesos de selección y abordaje metodológico de los contenidos y temas en el ámbito académico, y señalar los supuestos conceptuales que rigieron en la concepción de la disciplina Historia del Arte desde la Universidad.; This article retrieves the cardinal paths of art history at the School of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires, considering the period before the creation of the specific course in 1963 and the subsequent instances of changes in content and readjustments related to political context and influence of emerging figures. The study programs constitute our main documentation as an analytic tool that allows us to study the selection process and methodological approach of contents and topics in the academic field and point out the conceptual assumptions that ruled over the conception of art history as an academic discipline.

Petrov type of linearly perturbed type-D spacetimes Araneda, Bernardo Gabriel; Dotti, Gustavo Danie We show that a spacetime satisfying the linearized vacuum Einstein equations around a type-D background is generically of type I, and that the splittings of the principal null directions (PNDs) and of the degenerate eigenvalue of the Weyl tensor are non-analytic functions of the perturbation parameter of the metric. This provides a gauge-invariant characterization of the effect of the perturbation on the underlying geometry, without appealing to differential curvature invariants. This is of particular interest for the Schwarzschild solution, for which there are no signatures of the even perturbations on the algebraic curvature invariants. We also show that, unlike the general case, the unstable even modes of the Schwarzschild naked singularity deform the Weyl tensor into a type-II one.
