The INQUA Dunes Atlas project has developed a global digital database of chronological information for periods of inland or continental sand dune accumulation and stabilization. The database comprises information on the site location (including coordinates), dune type, and stratigraphic context, pertinent analytical information (e.g. luminescence procedures), and literature citations to the original data source. This paper discusses the background to the project, the concept and structure of the chronologic database that forms its core, and gives some examples of the scope of the database and ways in which it can contribute to greater understanding of the spatial and temporal variability in dune development.
In the current period, the expansion of consumption in the territory materializes in cities demonstrating the progress and installation of different consumer spaces. On the one hand, consumer spaces large capital the upper circuit such as shopping centers, supermarkets and hypermarkets on the other hand, spaces popular consumer and trade shows of clothing and accessories, called often popular shopping, with distinctive features lower circuit of the urban economy (Santos, 1979). In this regard, it is noted that increasingly distinctive period variables such as technical, information, advertising, finance, credit, among others, are present in such activities. We propose in this article reflect on the importance of these variables with emphasis on consumption and the various commercial spaces. Briefly introduces the features of the current period and the centrality of consumption. Then it delves into the spaces of popular consumption and are apparel trade shows in Argentina to finally synthetically explain the case of the mega exhibition "La Salada".
Inflationary gravitational waves in collapse scheme models
Mariani, Mauro; Bengochea, Gabriel Roman; Leon Garcia, Gabriel
The inflationary paradigm is an important cornerstone of the concordance cosmological model. However, standard inflation cannot fully address the transition from an early homogeneous and isotropic stage, to another one lacking such symmetries corresponding to our present universe. In previous works, a self-induced collapse of the wave function has been suggested as the missing ingredient of inflation. Most of the analysis regarding the collapse hypothesis has been solely focused on the characteristics of the spectrum associated to scalar perturbations, and within a semiclassical gravity framework. In this Letter, working in terms of a joint metric-matter quantization for inflation, we calculate, for the first time, the tensor power spectrum and the tensor-to-scalar ratio corresponding to the amplitude of primordial gravitational waves resulting from considering a generic self-induced collapse.
Phototriggered fibril-like environments arbitrate cell escapes and migration from endothelial monolayers
Salierno, Marcelo Javier; García Fernández, Lui; Carabelos, Noelia; Kiefer, Karin; García, Andrés J.; Campo, Aránzazu del
Cell detachment and migration from the endothelium occurs during vasculogenesis and also in pathological states. Here, we use a novel approach to trigger single cell release from an endothelial monolayer by in-situ opening of adhesive, fibril-like environment using light-responsive ligands and scanning lasers. Cell escapes from the monolayer were observed on the fibril-like adhesive tracks with 3-15 μm width. The frequency of endothelial cell escapes increased monotonically with the fibril width and with the density of the light-activated adhesive ligand. Interestingly, treatment with VEGF induced cohesiveness within the cell layer, preventing cell leaks. When migrating through the tracks, cells presented body lateral reduction and nuclear deformation imposed by the line width and dependent on myosin contractility. Cell migration mode changed from mesenchymal to amoeboid-like when the adhesive tracks narrowed (≤5 μm). Moreover, cell nucleus was shrunk showing packed DNA on lines narrower than the nuclear dimensions in a mechanisms intimately associated with the stress fibers. This platform allows the detailed study of escapes and migratory transitions of cohesive cells, which are relevant processes in development and during diseases such as organ fibrosis and carcinomas.
Cognitive problem-solving abilities and speech acts in children: an analysis in vulnerable family contexts
Morelato, Gabriela Susana; Ison, Mirta Susana; Amaya, Marcela; Delgado, Melania
The goal of this study was to analyze the cognitive abilities involved in interpersonal problemsolving and their connection with speech acts in children from contexts of social vulnerability. The sample included 120 schoolchildren between the ages of 8-13 in Mendoza, Argentina. The results showed that the children from more vulnerable family backgrounds, presented significantly less expressive speech acts than children at low vulnerability. It was also observed that displayed significantly poorer identification of emotions and anticipated significantly more negative consequences. In contrast, children who had high level of protective factors identified significantly more emotions, tended to generate more alternatives and anticipated less negative consequences. These results highlight the importance of carrying out early evaluations in contexts of risk, taking a preventive approach, and articulating knowledge from the fields of psychology and linguistics in order to develop new kinds of intervention and support strategies destined to children in school contexts.

Utilización de imágenes satelitales para el estudio de la distribución térmica en distintas coberturas del suelo de la ciudad de Bahía Blanca (Argentina).; Utilization of satellite images to study the thermal distribution in different soil covers in Bahia Blanca city (Argentina)
Ferrelli, Federico; Bustos, M.l.; Huamantinco Cisneros, M. A.; Piccolo, Maria Cintia
The study of the urban climate is relevant to increase the knowledge about the environment where live most of the world’s population. Cities have areas that include buildings, green spaces, un-vegetated soils, transit, among others. Currently, scientists are focusing on the effects of climate change in cities. There is a shortage of studies that analyze the thermal changes that occur in the inner city due to the densification of buildings. For these reasons, the aim of this study was to analyze the spatial distribution of Land Surface Temperature (LST) and its relation with different soil covers in Bahia Blanca city, Argentina. Satellite images from Landsat 5 TM and Landsat 7 ETM + were analyzed with singlechannel method. Besides, it was made a soil coverage map through visual interpretation of satellite images and it was validated with field trips. LST data were compared with each soil coverage. In downtown, the LST was heterogeneous and presented spatial variations according to the season and the shadows of the buildings. The maximum values of LST were localized in the periphery (45.1°C) and in urban very sparse (46°C) and the minimum in downtown (2°C). Each soil cover had minor fluctuations in the winter (>5°C) and higher in the summer (15 to 25°C).
Variations in macrobenthic community structure in relation to changing environmental conditions in sandy beaches of Argentina
Carcedo, Maria Cecilia; Fiori, Sandra Marcela; Piccolo, Maria Cintia; López Abbate, María Celeste; Bremec, Claudia Silvia
This study describes for the first time the intertidal macrobenthic community of exposed sandy beaches located near the Bahía Blanca Estuary (38°S) and reports the physical characterization of this coastal fringe. The main objective of the study was to link environmental variables to biotic information, analyzing the results in the context of the Swash Exclusion Hypothesis (SEH) and possible estuarine influence. Four beaches were sampled seasonally at different distances from the mouth of the Bahía Blanca Estuary. To characterize the morphodynamic state of the beaches, the Dean parameter (Ω) was calculated. Multivariate analyses were used to assess benthic community structures and their relationships with physical variables. The two beaches located closest to the Bahía Blanca Estuary were classified as intermediate and those located further from the estuary as dissipative. Richness, diversity and biomass of intertidal macrobenthic communities varied with the SEH, increasing towards the dissipative beaches. However, total density was higher on intermediate beaches, possibly because of nutrient-rich silt-clay sediment input from the estuary, enabling them to maintain a higher density of organisms than dissipative beaches. The estuary acts as a moderator of habitat hardness, which together with the morphodynamic state of the beaches is an important factor in the structuring of the macrobenthic community along this coastal fringe.

The possible implications of this finding are discussed, for entomological surveillance of the vector.
Democratization and School Governance: Two Cases in Latin America
Miguez, Daniel Pedro
This paper’s aim is to study the cultural perceptions of citizenship present in Brazil and Argentina by looking at the succession of democratic educational reforms that took place in both countries since the return of democracy and the first decades of the XXI century. In addition, the study tests the insights proposed Guillermo O’Donnel, who perceived that while Argentineans had an egalitarian perception of citizenship that sometimes resulted in anomic social relations, Brazilians had a more hierarchical conception that excluded significant majorities from the polity. The study is based on the analysis of the models of school governance proposed in official documents (laws, decrees and ministerial resolutions), showing that there are various kinds of asymmetry with varying degrees of legitimacy in the two countries. This reveals different perceptions of citizenship in Brazil and Argentina and leads to a nuanced confirmation of O’Donnel’s hypothesis.
Determination of the blocking temperature of magnetic nanoparticles: The good, the bad, and the ugly
Bruvera, Ignacio Javier; Mendoza Zélis, Pedro; Calatayud, M. P.; Goya, G. F.; Sanchez, Francisco Homero
A numerically solved two-level Stoner-Wohlfarth model with thermal agitation is used to simulate Zero Field Cooling (ZFC)-Field Cooling (FC) curves of monosize and polysize samples and to determine the best method for obtaining a representative blocking temperature TB value of polysize samples. The results confirm a technique based on the T derivative of the difference between ZFC and FC curves proposed by Micha et al. (the good) and demonstrate its relation with two alternative methods: the ZFC maximum (the bad) and the inflection point (the ugly). The derivative method is then applied to experimental data, obtaining the TB distribution of a polysize Fe3O4 nanoparticle sample suspended in hexane with an excellent agreement with TEM characterization.
A lower bound for faithful representations of nilpotent Lie algebras
Cagliero, Leandro Roberto; Rojas, Nadina Elizabeth
In this paper we present a lower bound for the minimal dimension µ(n) of a faithful representation of a finite dimensional p-step nilpotent Lie algebra n over a field of characteristic zero. Our bound is given as the minimum of a quadratically constrained linear optimization problem, it works for arbitrary p and takes into account a given filtration of n. We present some estimates of this minimum which leads to a very explicit lower bound for µ(n) that involves the dimensions of n and its center. This bound allows us to obtain µ(n) for some families of nilpotent Lie algebras.
Positive modulation of a neutral declarative memory by a threatening social event
Fernández, Rodrigo Sebastián; Bavassi, Mariana Luz; Campos, Jorge; Allegri, Ricardo Francisco; Molina, Víctor Alejandro; Forcato, Cecilia; Pedreira, Maria Eugenia
Memories can be altered by negative or arousing experiences due to the activation of the stress-responsive sympatho-adrenal-medullary axis (SYM). Here we used a neutral declarative memory that was acquired during multi-trial training to determine the effect of a threatening event on memory withouth emotional valence. To thgis end, participants received a new threatening social protocolbefore learning pairs of meanningless syllabes and were tested either 15´, 2 days or 8 days after acquisition. We first demostrate that this threatening social situation activates not only the SYM axis.

La tradición de El Pueblo. La circulación de lo gauchesco desde la prensa católica (1939-1945); The tradition of El Pueblo. The circulation of the gauchesque from the catholic press (1939-1945)
Las editoriales de El Pueblo se complementaron con otras secciones que contribuyeron al denodado propósito de confirmar un “gaucho católico”.; This paper analyzes the reproduction of the gauchesque in the pages of the catholic daily El Pueblo, at the juncture of the first “Fiestas de la Tradición”. The relationship between tradition and the catholic religion had expressed - with intensity- since the conservative government of Manuel Fresco in Buenos Aires. Approaches between the gaucho and catholicism circulated as a construction linked to crystallize the religious character of the national archetype. El Pueblo publications were supplemented by other sections that contributed to the valiant purpose of confirming a "catholic gaucho". The purpose of this research is to study these interventions..
Trypanosoma cruzi infection induces the expression of CD40 in murine cardiomyocytes favoring CD40 ligation-dependent production of cardiopathogenic IL-6
Moreno Ayala, Mariela Alejandra; Casasco, Agustina; Gonzalez, Laura Mariela; Postan, Miriam; Corral, Ricardo Santiago; Petray, Patricia Beatriz
The inflammatory response in the myocardium is an important aspect of the pathogenesis of Chagas heart disease raised by Trypanosoma cruzi. CD40, a transmembrane type I receptor belonging to the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family, is expressed in a broad spectrum of cell types and is crucial in several inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Activation of CD40 through ligation to CD40L (CD154) induces multiple effects, including the secretion of proinflammatory molecules. In the present study, we examined the ability of T. cruzi to trigger the expression of CD40 in cardiac myocytes in vitro and in a murine model of chagasic cardiomyopathy. Our results indicate, for the first time, that T. cruzi is able to induce the expression of CD40 in HL-1 murine cardiomyocytes. Moreover, ligation of CD40 receptor upregulated interleukin-6 (IL-6), associated with inflammation. Furthermore, the induction of this costimulatory molecule was demonstrated in vivo in myocardium of mice infected with T. cruzi. This suggests that CD40-bearing cardiac muscle cells could interact with CD40L-expressing lymphocytes infiltrating the heart, thus contributing to inflammatory injury in chagasic cardiomyopathy.
On the symmetry of three identical interacting particles in a one-dimensional box
Amore, Paolo; Fernández, Francisco Marcelo
We study a quantum-mechanical system of three particles in a one-dimensional box with two-particle harmonic interactions. The symmetry of the system is described by the point group D3d. Group theory greatly facilitates the application of perturbation theory and the Rayleigh-Ritz variational method. A great advantage is that every irreducible representation can be treated separately. Group theory enables us to predict the connection between the states for the small box length and large box length regimes of the system. We discuss the crossings and avoided crossings of the energy levels as well as other interesting features of the spectrum of the system.
Catamarca) : a view through chaine operatoire
It addresses this problem through materials coming from places that until recently were not considered relevant to the discussions, it seeks to contribute to understanding the processes occurring during this period of more fi nished form. This problem is addressed through materials from places that until recently were not considered relevant to the discussions, with the objective to contribute to understanding the processes that occurred during this period. Along this work, the pottery technology is considered as a phenomenon of socialized and daily practices of individuals or groups, and therefore, a part of the social dimension, relationships and dynamics, can be apprehended from the technological choices performed by each potter in the manufacturing process. Through the case of Corral Alto (Miriguaca river gorge), It was sought to investigate the practices involved in the pottery production, embedded within the socio-political context that conditioned, and explore forms of social organization at micro-regional scale.
