Prácticas educativas en el marco de la Educación Intercultural Bilingüe: El Encuentro Provincial Interescolar de Cultura y Lengua Quichua en el Departamento Figueroa (Santiago del Estero) durante la pandemia del COVID-19; Educational practices in the context of Intercultural Bilingual Education: The Provincial Interschool Meeting of Quichua Language and Culture, Department Figueroa (Santiago del Estero) during the COVID-19 pandemic
Martinez, Nahuel Nicolas
In this milieu, this article seeks to provide knowledge about the situation of this type of education in the provincial context. To do so, we aim to investigate the educational practices carried out by the teachers of the unique Primary Education Teacher Training with orientation in IBE in SdelE. Specifically, we will focus on the Provincial Inter-school Meeting of Quichua Culture and Language organized by the institution in 2020 and 2021. Methodologically, we draw on the contributions of ethnography using Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and the contributions of the anthropology of education. We made records and interviews in virtual and later at the teacher training school. We highlight the socio-educational problems that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic and those that had increased. We also examine the different practices that teachers carried out to respond to them. We conclude by stating that teachers and students in the teacher training school appropriated ICTs and IBE in dialogue with the community, which granted visibility of this type of education on its own terms.

Roggero, Jorge Luis
This article has a double purpose. In the first place, it aims to show how Walton points out the decisive importance of love as a fundamental problem of phenomenology, demonstrating that it is not only an essential issue for Max Scheler, but also plays a leading role in Husserl’s proposal and even in Heidegger’s. Secondly, this text also intends to account for the way in which Walton dialogues with the most recent phenomenological trends, putting them to the test within the internal framework of his own logic. In particular, I will dwell on the critical reading of the Marionian erotic phenomenon proposed by Walton in which he, likewise, outlines his own conception of love.
Palero, Juan Santiago
This strategy of standing out, within a context of individualism and competition, implies the risk of creating a constant sensation of amnesia and transience that ignores the depth of its origins. In order to bring historical footing and conceptual density to these interventions, the proposition is to reconstruct their conceptual roots by investigating the input of participation in housing architecture, as one of its main aspects. With this objective, there’s a recovery of strategies developed by Christopher Alexander’s team when seeking to counter the housing deficit in a LatinAmerican city facing rapid population growth: the Mexicali experimental project in Baja California, Mexico. Through a bibliographical revision, which integrates the theory produced by this recently deceased author in books and articles, along with interviews and documents pertinent to the current state of the project, successes and critical points of the intervention are synthesized to trace their continuity in the current context of this community-led housing, and specifically in the social production of habitat.

Cómo hacer cosas con palabras: algunas reflexiones en torno a las inteligencias artificiales generativas de imágenes; How to do things with words: some remarks on generative AI for images
AI can be thought of as the ability of machines to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. Among the possibilities offered by the field, one of the most notable is generative AI. This focuses on generating, form original content, from a certain perspective, such as text, image, voice, video, among others. To do this, the user needs to provide the AI with an indication of the desired product, through a written text known as a prompt. However, an observed phenomenon is the difficulty of generating a result fully corresponding to what the user desires, necessitating the need to explicitly indicate as much as possible and in the least ambiguous way, which is sometimes challenging due to the nature of language itself. This article provides an overview of generative AI for images and the phenomenon of linguistic ambiguity. Subsequently, it reflects on how this affects the formulation of prompts for image generation.
Local minimizers of the distances to the majorization flows
Local minimizers of the distances to the majorization flows
Benac, Maria Jose; Massey, Pedro Gustavo; Rios, Noelia Belén; Ruiz, Mariano Andres
Let D(d) denote the convex set of density matrices of size d and let ρ, σ ∈ D(d) be such that ρ ̸≺ σ. Consider the majorization flows L(σ) = {µ ∈ D(d) : µ ≺ σ} and U(ρ) = {ν ∈ D(d) : ρ ≺ ν}, where ≺ stands for the majorization pre-order relation. We endow L(σ) and U(ρ) with the metric induced by the spectral norm. Let N(·) be a strictly convex unitarily invariant norm and let µ0 ∈ L(σ) and ν0 ∈ U(ρ) be local minimizers of the distance functions ΦN (µ) = N(ρ − µ), for µ ∈ L(σ) and ΨN (ν) = N(σ − ν), for ν ∈ U(ρ). In this work we show that, for every unitarily invariant norm Ñ(·) we have that Ñ(ρ − µ0) ≤ Ñ(ρ − µ), µ ∈ L(σ) and Ñ(σ − ν0) ≤ Ñ(σ − ν), ν ∈ U(ρ). That is, µ0 and ν0 are global minimizers of the distances to the corresponding majorization flows, with respect to every unitarily invariant norm. We describe the (unique) spectral structure (eigenvalues) of µ0 and ν0 in terms of a simple finite step algorithm; we also describe the geometrical structure (eigenvectors) of µ0 and ν0 in terms of the geometrical structure of σ and ρ, respectively. We include a discussion of the physical and computational implications of our results. We also compare our results to some recent related results in the context of quantum information theory.

The labour process and workers’ rights at Mercado Libre: Hiding exploitation through regulation in the digital economy
The labour process and workers’ rights at Mercado Libre: Hiding exploitation through regulation in the digital economy
Atzeni, Maurizio
E-commerce platforms such as, most famously, Amazon use digitalised production systems in their warehouses. In this article we examine how such digitalised systems impact upon the labour process, the organisation of work and working condition in the warehouse of Mercado Libre in Argentina, the largest e-commerce platform there and in Latin America. In many respects, this case is aligned with the evidence emerging from similar studies on Amazon. The ubiquitous combination of algorithmic management with discretionary human management has limited the sphere of workers’ autonomy and spaces of resistance, increased control to virtually any productive or unproductive time spent by workers in the warehouse and imposed stressful working conditions on workers, often with negative implications for health and safety. These conditions of exploitation common to digitalised workplaces have, however, been strengthened by the company’s hiring strategy, based extensively on labour broking, on the high turnover of a young workforce, and the strategic use of the existing institutional regulatory framework and formal trade union representation to buffer management from workers’ complaints. In this sense it is not regulation as such that is the key to better working conditions in the digitalised labour process but rather how that regulatory framework is effectively used and contested by workers’ struggles on the ground to get concessions.
Unmasking hidden genetic, vocal, and size variation in the Masked Flowerpiercer along the Andes supports two species separated by Northern Peruvian Low
Unmasking hidden genetic, vocal, and size variation in the Masked Flowerpiercer along the Andes supports two species separated by Northern Peruvian Low
We investigated the genetic and phenotypic differentiation in Diglossa cyanea (Thraupidae; Masked Flowerpiercer), a widely distributed species in the tropical Andes. We found strong evidence for 2 main lineages separated by the Marañón River valley in the Northern Peruvian Low (NPL). These 2 lineages show a deep sequence divergence in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA; ~6.7% uncorrected p-distance, n = 122), spectral frequency and song structure (with exclusive final whistles in southern populations, n = 88), and wing length (the northern populations are smaller, n = 364). The 2 divergent D. cyanea mitochondrial lineages were not sister to each other, suggesting a possible paraphyly with respect to D. caerulescens (Bluish Flowerpiercer) that remains to be tested with nuclear genomic data. No genetic variation, size difference, or song structure was observed within the extensive range of the southern group (from the NPL to central Bolivia) or within all sampled northern populations (from the NPL to Venezuela). These vocal differences appear to have consequences for song discrimination, and species recognition, according to a previously published playback experiment study. We propose that the southern taxon be elevated to species rank as D. melanopis, a monotypic species (with the proposed name Whistling Masked-Flowerpiercer). In turn, we provide a redefinition of D. cyanea (Warbling Masked-Flowerpiercer), which is now restricted to the northern half of the tropical Andes as a polytypic species with 3 subspecies (tovarensis, obscura, and cyanea). Based on our results, the subspecies dispar should be treated as a junior synonym of cyanea. Our study highlights the need to continue amassing complementary data sets from field observations, experiments, and collection-based assessments to better characterize the evolutionary history, biogeography, bioacoustics, and taxonomy of Neotropical montane birds.

Young blood plasma is known to confer beneficial effects on various organs in mice and rats. However, it was not known whether plasma from young adult pigs rejuvenates old rat tissues at the epigenetic level; whether it alters the epigenetic clock, which is a highly accurate molecular biomarker of aging. To address this question, we developed and validated six different epigenetic clocks for rat tissues that are based on DNA methylation values derived from n = 613 tissue samples. As indicated by their respective names, the rat pan-tissue clock can be applied to DNA methylation profiles from all rat tissues, while the rat brain, liver, and blood clocks apply to the corresponding tissue types. We also developed two epigenetic clocks that apply to both human and rat tissues by adding n = 1366 human tissue samples to the training data. We employed these six rat clocks to investigate the rejuvenation effects of a porcine plasma fraction treatment in different rat tissues. The treatment more than halved the epigenetic ages of blood, heart, and liver tissue. A less pronounced, but statistically significant, rejuvenation effect could be observed in the hypothalamus. The treatment was accompanied by progressive improvement in the function of these organs as ascertained through numerous biochemical/physiological biomarkers, behavioral responses encompassing cognitive functions. An immunoglobulin G (IgG) N-glycosylation pattern shift from pro- to anti-inflammatory also indicated reversal of glycan aging. Overall, this study demonstrates that a young porcine plasma-derived treatment markedly reverses aging in rats according to epigenetic clocks, IgG glycans, and other biomarkers of aging.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) constitutes an important cause for concern in the field of public health, and the role of the food chain in the transmission of this pathogen and in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has not yet been defined. The objectives of this work were to isolate and characterize coagulase-positive Staphylococcus (CoPS) and coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (CoNS), particularly S. aureus, from school dining rooms located in Argentina. From 95 samples that were obtained from handlers, inert surfaces, food, and air in 10 establishments, 30 Staphylococcus strains were isolated. Four isolates were S. aureus, and the remaining ones (N = 26) belonged to 11 coagulase-negative species (CoNS). The isolates were tested for susceptibility to nine antibiotics. The presence of genes encoding toxins (luk-PV, sea, seb, sec, sed, and see), adhesins (icaA, icaD), and genes that confer resistance to methicillin (mecA) and vancomycin (vanA) was investigated. The resistance rates measured for penicillin, cefoxitin, gentamicin, vancomycin, erythromycin, clindamycin, levofloxacin, trimethoprim–sulfamethoxazole, and tetracycline were 73%, 30%, 13%, 3%, 33%, 17%, 13%, 7%, and 7% of the isolates, respectively. Seventeen AMR profiles were detected, and 11 isolates were multidrug resistant (MDR). Seven methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus isolates were detected in the hands of handlers from four establishments, two of them were MRSA. Two S. aureus isolates presented icaA and icaD, another one, only icaD. The gene vanA was found in two isolates. In relation to S. aureus, resistance to vancomycin but not to gentamicin was detected. School feeding plays a key role in the nutrition of children, and the consumption of food contaminated with MRSA and vancomycin-resistant S. aureus (VRSA) can be a serious threat to health. In particular, it was detected that the handlers were the source of MRSA, VRSA, MR-CoNS (methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative Staphylococcus), and MDR isolates. The results obtained indicate that the vigilance of this pathogen in school dining rooms should be extreme.

Mercuri, Cecilia
In the study of social interactions, issues such as territory and territoriality are implicit. Territories are a fragmentation of the space product of the set of relationships that are interwoven daily between humans and between them and the natural environment. So, as a social construction, there is an implicit diversity of territories that may operate simultaneously. In a first approach towards the analysis of the lithic material from Cueva de Cristóbal, in the locality of Aguilar, in the Puna of Jujuy, I registered that the set presented a great diversity of raw materials, both local and non-local, which allows me to investigate the question of social interactions and territorialities. With this example, the objective is to explore the diversity of aspects that the same physical space can present, to investigate territorial management, in this specific case, in the sense of handling raw materials.

The extraction of polyphenols is commonly accomplished using conventional techniques such assolid-liquid and liquid-liquid extraction, which are associated with the use of high quantities of organicsolvents, long extraction times, and low selectivity and reproducibility. These limitations have led to thedevelopment of innovative extraction technologies. The purpose of this study was to investigate theultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) and microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) of polyphenols frompartially defatted chia flour (PDCF).

The constructivist paradigm suggests that the teaching process must be dynamic, with the active participation of the learner. In this context, the decisions made in the classroom by the teacher have a direct impact on the teaching-learning process. This work discloses the result of the application of dichotomous keys in the Geology subject. Geology is part of the study plan of three careers of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences and Agriculture of the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste. Year after year, we observed the difficulty of the students to be able to identify minerals and different types of rocks, the decision was made to look for a visual didactic tool that helps the students in this process. For this, dichotomous keys were adapted taking into account the available geological material and the needs of the students, resulting in four types of keys adapted to the region. As a result of its application, we observed greater independence of the students in the identification of the geological material provided in the practical classes and better performance in the evaluations that require recognition of this type of material.

Sensory profile of gluten-free breads based on alternative commercial flours
Irigoytia, Karen Florencia; Parodi, Maria Belen; Esposito, Nancy Noemi; de Escalada Pla, Marina Francisca; Genevois, Carolina Elizabeth
Gluten-free breads (GFB) are based mainly on refined flours, being characterised by a poor nutritional profile. The use of alternative flours, rich in protein and dietary fibre in the design of GFB could improve either technological or nutritional properties. The objective of the study was to evaluate the global differences/similarities, and the overall acceptability of GFB formulated with alternative flours in regular consumers and with gluten-related disorders. A projective mapping and hedonic test were used to describe the sensory profile and to assess the liking of products in untrained panellists (N=34). GFB were formulated using a traditional recipe, where 20% of refined flours were replaced by: brown rice, rice bran, lupin, millet, carob, quinoa, sorghum, teff or buckwheat. The hydration level and fermentation time were previously optimised to maximise the GFB specific volume. The relationship between products and descriptors was analysed by a multiple factor analysis (MFA) using XLSTAT software. The results showed four different groups of GFB based on (1) carob which was described as acid, (2) millet as white crumb, (3) rice bran, sorghum, lupin and buckwheat as crumbly and smelly, and (4) teff, quinoa and brown rice as sweet, springy and crispy. GFB received a punctuation of 5.9-7.3 in a 9-point scale, being the GFB based on carob flour the less accepted (2.9±2.5). These flours could contribute to enhancing the nutritional profile and could be a useful tool for the food industry. GFB formulations should be optimised for improving the consumer acceptability according to the flour selected.

Cortazar, Carmen; Quirós, Fernando; Wolanski, Noemi Irene
We study the large-time behavior in all L p norms of solutions to an inhomogeneous nonlocal heat equation in R N involving a Caputo α-time derivative and a power β of the Laplacian when the dimension is large, N > 4β. The asymptotic profiles depend strongly on the space-time scale and on the time behavior of the spatial L 1 norm of the forcing term.

This is a short review of our recent work [B. Bajc and A. R. Lugo, arXiv:2212.13639 [hep-th]] with some new original results. We numerically calculate the conformal two point correlation function of operators with arbitrary scale dimension up to order T2d in the low temperature expansion. We analytically compute its large scale dimension limit up to the same order.

Beyond AdS2/dCFT1: insertions in two Wilson loops
Correa, Diego Hernán; Faraggi, Alberto; Mück, Wolfgang; Pando Zayas, Leopoldo A.; Silva, Guillermo Ariel
We consider two-point correlators of local operator insertions in a system of two Wilson-Maldacena loops in N = 4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory on both sides of the AdS/CFT correspondence. On the holographic side the correlator of two Wilson-Maldacena loops is given by a classical string world-sheet which in one phase connects two asymptotically AdS2 regions and in the other phase is given by two disconnected AdS2 caps; this configuration breaks supersymmetry as well as conformal invariance. We present a complete systematic account of the string world-sheet fluctuations, including the fermionic sector, and study the behavior of the holographic two-point correlators. On the field theory side we compute certain two-point correlators of local operator insertions by resumming sets of ladder diagrams. Our results demonstrate the efficacy of previously developed methods in tackling this non-conformal, non-susy regime.

Despite the de-structuring and de-peasanti-zation processes of rural farming spaces, they are the ones who produce the food that is socially and culturally consumed in the re-gion. In this paper we propose to reflect on different actions jointly conducted by a rural community in the province of Salta, Argen-tina, and an action-research group from the Non-Conventional Energy Research Insti-tute (INENCO), which seeks to contribute to food sovereignty and good living. At the same time, we seek to characterize a region that would be unknown in the academic field such as the hills of Salta.
